The enthralling
waterfall greeted initiates as they arrived at the Kota Tinggi
retreat.
|
[Kota Tinggi]
It had been some time since the last international retreat and everyone
here was eagerly longing to attend one. So it came as a pleasant surprise
when Master gave us change to recharge spiritually and approved a
three-day retreat, to be held
at
Kota Tinggi Waterfall Resort, Malaysia, located near Singapore, to be
attended by initiates from Singapore and Malaysia-specially, Penang, Ipoh,
Kuala Lumpur, and Sarawak.
Upon
their arrival, initiates were greeted by the splashing and soothing sound
of a waterfall, under which they prayed for world peace and continued
harmony between the two neighboring countries.

Time
to go to the meditation hall!
|
At
the late morning meditation session, young initiates were allowed to sit
with older initiates. And during the lunch break, many participants
flocked to catch the breathtaking view of the waterfall and cool off from
the heat. During an afternoon video session, they learned much from a
video of Master giving tips on how to improve meditation practice. The
midday sun was shining in all its glory outside the meditation hall, but
Master's gentle voice uplifted our spirits and shielded us from the
scorching heat. The kitchen staff lovingly prepared sumptuous food, as
well as herbal soup to dispel the heat of the summer sun. Then, Mother
Nature gave her own answer to the radiating heat by bestowing a late
afternoon shower

A
beautiful rainbow appears right
after the retreat.

Good
things always seem to be especially evanescent, and the final day of the
retreat soon arrived. Looks of regret appeared on participants' faces over
the retreat's impending conclusion, but there was widespread anticipation
of the bliss to be derived from the final meditation session ahead. When
the retreat officially ended, everyone gave a spontaneous round of loud
applause for a most blissful retreat. Even the rainbow that appeared just
after the retreat ended seemed to say, "Thank You, Master, for
everything!"
