In Malaysia, the average temperature throughout the year is 26 ºC and the annual rainfall is over 2400mm (95 inches) with a humidity of 80%. This collection is still expanding with more than 50 different genera of cactus. Its hillside location makes for interesting viewing of the cactus and other plants

A cactus (plural, cacti or cactuses) is a type of succulent plant belonging to the dicotyledonous flowering plant family, Cactaceae. Cacti come in many varieties in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Some grow to great size. Some cacti produce beautiful flowers, which like spines and branches arise from areoles. Many cactus species are night-blooming, as they are pollinated by nocturnal insects or small animals, principally moths and bats. Cacti range from small and round to pole-like and tall, Some cacti bear edible fruit.

Berger, Blossfeldia werderm., Brachycereus Britt. & Rose, Cephalocereus pfeiff, Consolea Lemaire, Lepismium, Mamillopsis, Neobesseya, Rathbunia, Rhipsalis Gaertn., Zygocactus, etc.
