An enjoyable half hour funicular rail-way ride will bring you
up to the summit of Penang Hill at 830 meters above sea
level. Come close to nature at Penang Hill, a coll and
refreshing atmosphere whilst it gives you a panoramic view of
Georgetown and the Straits of Malacca. The Kek Lok Si
Temple is one of the largest Buddhist Temple in South East
Asia covering an area of 12 hectare overlooking the Air Itam
Village. This temple encompasses the distinct Thai,
Burmese and Chinese architectures. Return to your hotel
via a scenic drive along the Gurney Drive - an
interesting diversion of Penang's own "lover's
lane".
