Day 01 Gomantong Caves/Kinabatangan River & Sukau

0830 hrs

Pick up from hotel in Sandakan. Proceed on a two hours drive passing Oil Palm Plantation to Gomantong Caves.

1030 hrs

Arrive Gomantong Caves. Explore the largest bird’s nest cave in Sabah.

1200 hrs

Depart for Sukau by the Kinabatangan River.

1245 hrs

Arrive Sukau. Take a boat ride and across river to Sukau River Lodge.

1300 hrs

Arrive Sukau River Lodge. Check in lodge with basic facilities.

1330 hrs

Lunch is served.

1530 hrs

Take a boat trip to cruise river to view proboscis monkeys, birds & other wildlife until nightfall.

1800 hrs

Return to river lodge.

1930 hrs

Dinner & overnight at River Lodge.

0615 hrs

Breakfast.

0900 hrs

Trek the lush riverine forest at nearby lakes.

1100 hrs

Return to River Lodge.

1200 hrs

Lunch.

1300 hrs

Depart River Lodge for Sandakan.

1530 hrs

Arrive Sandakan, transfer to respective hotels or airport for flight departure.
